Barbados
  • Traveled with Air Canada
  • Overall tips A beautiful but built up island. The west coast is really nice with high end boutique hotels and stores but the beaches are some of the nicest in all of the Caribbean. People were great and overall the Island was very safe.
Accommodation
  • The Sandpiper
    Folkestone, Barbados
A truly great boutique hotel. Every breakfast and dinner was served on bone china and we were waited on like royalty. a mostly British older crowd, but people were really nice and the beach was beautiful. The owners are very hands on and you can eat at their sister hotel right up the street. Great tip - for very little money at their sister hotel you can be taken out on a boat from the Coral Reef, their sister hotel.

Was really nice to spend the day swimming in the crystal clear water and the pool. Service was excellent!

    • The Nidhe Israel Synagogue and Museum
      Magazine Ln, Bridgetown, Barbados
This was really cool! It is one of the oldest shuls in the Caribbean and they have done a tremendous job of restoring it. There is also a really cool museum of the history of Jews in the Caribbean. Well worth it. we took the bus there and was fun to a local for a bit!

The night before we ate here. If you have the meal plan with the Sandpiper you can walk over and the meal is included. excellent food and really nice. On day 4 we walked over and for (not sure if price is the same) $100US they took us out for 3 hours on their power boat. Lots of fun and was just the two of us!
